There have been rumors that the Pakistani government is seeking to block 15 million websites; more than half of those websites are blogging sites such as WordPress.  Hosh Media, which in English called Reality Media, is an organization that are stepping up and helping young Pakistani bloggers post their thoughts and views about Pakistan and its current conditions and show them to the world.

I think #StopKony or #Kony2012 is too good to be true, and naturally, like always Alyona agrees with me.  However, The Alyona Show posted their video a bit later than I posted this on my blog so it’s on the comment section.

I don’t think war is really part of the American culture because as you may know that more than half of the country is against war. However, all the factors Andrew Gavin Marshall mentions seem to be true. So let’s vote for Ron Paul and end these wars?

Recently, I was watching The Alyona Show’s segment,  ‘You Said It, I Read It’  on Youtube  and one of the Youtube comments she read on the show was about how Alyona is a lazy journalist because she didn’t talk about the Oscars and how he’s disappointed in her for not doing so. Seriously?

Have Fox News and the other mainstream media news networks really brainwashed us into calling a journalist, who reports real issues that the mainstream does not even bother to mention lazy, just because she didn’t talk about a bunch of billionaires giving each other awards? Well, we know that youtube user has certainly been influenced!

However, honestly speaking, I did enjoy the Oscars a lot this year. The movie, A Separation, which is one of the greatest films of all time won The Best Foreign Film Award. Moreover, Sharmeen Chinoy-Obaid also won an Oscar  and she was the first Pakistani to do so, which makes me proud as a Pakistani.

Okay I kinda just contradicted the point I was trying to make. Oh wait no I didn’t! My point is pop culture is important but not as important as the people at E magazine think it is. I’m sure this has happened to you that a friend comes up to you and asks you whether you’ve seen this apparently overrated movie or music video and you say you haven’t and they scream in horror and make you feel like you live under a rock.

Why? Why can’t we feel the same way when someone’s telling us about drone attacks sent by our country to another country or when we’re talking about the corruption happening in our country? My answer: It’s cause of the mainstream media. The mainstream media is promoting these overrated, waste of time topics so much that we just don’t care anymore about the real issues happening around the world. I mean just think about it, how much time did the mainstream media give attention to the horrible things happening in Syria than they did to Snooki‘s pregnancy? More than they should? Of course.

Now we shouldn’t just blame the mainstream  media but also ourselves for getting influenced by them in the first place. So let’s stop living in a world where the main concerns are whether it was a good idea for Rihanna to get back together with Chris brown or not. Let E! News worry about that.

The Young Turks is one of the best news shows of the 21st century. To me the second best, the first being The Alyona Show. However, when it comes to delivering news about religion, I feel The Young Turks are a little bit bias because of their own individual beliefs. Take a look at this:

Yes, I agree with Ana, that people shouldn’t care when someone’s making fun of their religion but saying that Atheists should have a day every year to make fun of someone else’s religion just to make them get use to the fact that their religion will be made fun of is stupid! Why should Atheist even care about other people’s religion? Why can’t they just be Atheist and get on with their lives? Why should they have to torment other religious groups every year just to make a point that they CAN torment them whenever they want?

You said it yourself Ana, that people shouldn’t care about their religion being made fun of because it’s just a joke. They shouldn’t take it seriously. It is not for any bad intentions but this is. It doesn’t seem like a joke to me doing this every year purposely.

Moreover, yes Ana, it will cause violence. Did you forget what happened in Afghanistan when the US soldiers burned the Qur’an? There was chaos! Not just in Afghanistan but in Pakistan and other countries as well. Why go through all of that? Why is it SO important?

I personally think that by doing this Atheist are going to become unpopular or in some cases more unpopular. Now I know you guys don’t care about what other people think about your beliefs but come on you’re only human and any human would prefer their religious beliefs being respected than being hated because of it. My advice to The Young Turks: stop encouraging people to make fun of religion and stick to the real news you’re famous at reporting.
